Privacy Policy

1. Summary

Cleanami is a phone storage and email cleanup app that works entirely on-device. We do not collect photos, videos, or email content on our servers. This policy explains what data is processed when you use Cleanami.

2. Data We Access

Cleanami requires two types of access: (1) Photo/video library — for duplicate scanning, AI analysis, and video compression, all processed on-device. (2) Gmail (if you connect) — to read email categories and find unsubscribe links. Both are handled via APIs directly on your device and never pass through Cleanami's servers.

3. Data We Do NOT Collect

• Your photos, videos, or media library content (never uploaded)
• Email content or attachments (never uploaded)
• Contacts, call history, or messages
• Geographic location
• Cookies or user tracking data

4. Gmail Connection

When you connect Gmail, Cleanami uses Google OAuth to read your email categories (Promotions, Social, Spam, etc.) and find unsubscribe links (List-Unsubscribe headers) in emails. All data is processed via the Gmail API directly on your device — no email content is sent to Cleanami's servers. Email metadata may be cached temporarily on your device for faster display and is deleted when you disconnect. We do not use Gmail data for advertising. You can revoke access at any time at myaccount.google.com.

5. Analytics & Crash Reporting

We use Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics (Google) to collect anonymous crash logs and usage metrics to improve performance. This data contains no photos, videos, email content, or any personally identifiable information.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell user data. Anonymous analytics data from Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics is shared with Google under their terms of service. Gmail connections are made via Google OAuth under Google's API Services User Data Policy. We do not share data with any other third parties.

7. Subscription & Purchase Data

When you purchase a Pro subscription in-app, the transaction is processed entirely by Apple App Store or Google Play Store — Cleanami does not receive or store your card or any payment information. We only receive a subscription status confirmation from the platform to activate the correct features on your device.

8. Data Security

We apply reasonable security measures to protect data, including access controls and encryption where appropriate. Since all processing happens on-device, most risk is minimized by design.

9. Children's Privacy

Cleanami is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us so we can remove it promptly.

10. Your Rights

You have full control over your data. You can revoke photo library or Gmail access at any time through your system settings or at myaccount.google.com. Uninstalling the app will remove all locally cached data from your device.

11. Policy Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page with a revised date. Continued use of Cleanami means you accept the updated policy.
